Open Farm Sunday 2012
Open Farm Sunday 17th June 2012
It’s a great family fun day and it’s FREE!
Open Farm Sunday gives you the chance to meet the farmers that grow the food we eat, join in some great activities and have a great day out in the country.    Â
By coming along to Uncle Henry’s unique Open Farm Sunday you can discover the REAL story behind food. At Uncle Henry’s you can expect to find local stalls, our hog roast, bird of prey displays, trailer rides, activities, demonstrations and much more! We expect to be joined by Lincs FM, along with Wilbur the bear, The day really helps to understand the connection between food and farming in a way that is both educational, interactive and above all lots of fun!       Â
Open Farm Sunday 2011
We raised money for Lindsey Lodge Hospice and Grayingham Lodge. The 2011 Open Farm Sunday was a success despite it raining! There was lots to do including pig racing, pony rides, a gliding demo, breadmaking, puppet show and modern and vintage farming machinery to see around the site.
We also had some fun promoting the “Red Tractor”. The Red Tractor is a mark of assurance that shows the food or drink product meets strict standards of food safety, environmental protection and animal welfare. The Union Flag featured in the logo highlights a guarantee of origin in the UK. Check out the picture of Wilbur the Bear from Lincs FM signing the Red Tractor Wheel to show his support!
