Uncle Henry’s walled kitchen garden has been carefully restored over the past few years by Nicky Greenwood our Head Gardener and it now provides our kitchen with fresh, seasonal ingredients for customers to enjoy in the cafe. Fresh vegetables and flowers are also grown and sold in the farm shop including new potatoes, tomatoes, runner beans and pumpkins!
Our garden is available to visit during pre-booked visits or can be viewed during the summer months when we host our Open Garden event. Groups are very welcome and pre-booked visits can include a personal talk and tour by Nicky.
Educational visits to the walled garden are also welcome and activities such as identifying seeds and parts of a plant can be undertaken. Environmental activities such as clay face making and collages using hedgerow materials can also be arranged.
